Sisonke Broiler Project

The 33 women-strong Sisonke Broiler Cluster is raising funds for their broiler rearing project, with the hope to improve their own and the community's livelihood, as well as food and nutritional security.

The Sisonke Broiler Cluster in Mukarabule village, Gomoza ward, Lupane district, Zimbabwe has ventured into broiler rearing to revive the livestock business and improve livelihoods. However, their plans go beyond making a profit, the groups also aim to secure employment for a large number of women in the community and improve community nourishment as a result of increased meat intake.
